My grandfather employed several young boys during the hot summers to haul hay for him. One of the boy's names was Vann Brown, my husband. He was around 12 when he worked for Paw Paw. This barn would hold stacks and stacks of hay, and folks would drive up to my grandmother's side door and pay her for hay, then just follow the drive down to the barn. My grandparents driveway made a circle that started and came back out on Tillison Road.
