"Azaleas by Sturdivant"
Sturdivant Hall, Selma, AL
8 x 10, oil on linen panel
After a wonderful potluck dinner on Day 1 including homemade soup, lasagna, and DELICIOUS rolls... we all slept at Karen's daughter's home and then started out again to paint Selma.
I wanted to either paint the Spanish moss trees or the azaleas. I finally decided to paint the side of Sturdivant Hall with azaleas in the foreground. A young girl named Lucy kept me company while I painted. She told me my painting was "so pretty" and that she was nine years old and in the third grade. She skipped and hopped around me and it was most enjoyable to have company.
