"Pansy and Avery" an Alpaca painting

"Pansy and Avery"
16 x 8, oil on linen panel
~ a gift for my friends

My daughter loves animals.  A wonderful opportunity and blessing came along earlier this year, right at the beginning of summer.  Our neighbors, the owner of Timberlake Farms Alpacas, asked Blaire if she would like to come help in the mornings at their farm.  She was soooo excited and honored.  She goes over there around three times each week for a little while to help Mrs. Peggy and Mr. Jerome with the alpacas.  Here's a picture of Blaire with one of her favorite alpacas, Pansy.  She was named Pansy because of the dark coloring around her eyes.  You can tell my daughter is having fun :)

I wanted to give them a gift for being so sweet to my daughter and allowing her to come help them.  The above painting is a painting of Pansy with her mother, Avery.

This has been a wonderful experience for my little girl.  She's learned so much while having fun.  Here's a pic of the Gamblins with Blaire.

They've invited Blaire to go with them to help at their next Alpaca show in November, where Blaire plans to enter Pansy in a youth obstacle course competition.
Plans are underway for a barn soon :)  Blaire hopes to soon have her own alpaca to add to her farm!!!

  3. So, you gave them the painting? What a lovely thank you gift. Your daughter is indeed having a great time while learning; you have very generous neighbors, too. Love the color of your daughter's hair.
